what is hypnotherapy / counselling?

Therapy is a space where you can talk things through, openly, honestly, and without judgement.

A place where you don’t have to filter yourself or try to hold it all together.



How does it help?


Sometimes things build up. Thoughts, feelings, experiences…

And after a while, it can feel overwhelming or hard to make sense of it all.

Therapy gives you the space to slow things down, understand what’s really been going on, and begin to see things more clearly.



What happens in a session?


We start with a conversation.

Nothing formal.
Nothing forced.

You talk at your own pace, and we gently explore whatever feels important to you.

Sometimes that means talking things through.
Sometimes it means noticing patterns.
Sometimes it means sitting with something you’ve been avoiding.

We go at a pace that feels right for you.

What is hypnotherapy?

  

Hypnotherapy is a gentle, guided process that helps you relax and focus your mind.

In this calm, focused state, we can begin to work with the deeper patterns that are driving how you feel—often outside of your awareness.

It’s not about control.
It’s about understanding… and change.



How does hypnotherapy work?


Most of what we feel and do is shaped by patterns and beliefs we’ve learned over time—often without realising it.

Hypnotherapy helps us access these patterns, understand where they come from, and gently change them.

Instead of just managing symptoms, we work at the root—
so things can begin to shift naturally.



How many sessions will I need?


Everyone is different, but many people notice real changes within 

–3 sessions.

Some issues may take a little longer, especially things like anxiety, low mood, or long-standing patterns.

You might feel a shift straight away,
or notice changes gradually over time—
both are completely normal.



How is hypnotherapy different from talking therapy?


Talking therapy works with your conscious mind—what you’re aware of.

Hypnotherapy works with the deeper part of your mind,
where habits, emotions, and automatic responses are stored.

That’s why it can create deeper, longer-lasting change.



What does hypnosis feel like?


It’s a deeply relaxed state—
similar to when you’re daydreaming or completely absorbed in something.

You’re still aware, still in control,
just calmer and more focused.

Most people simply feel relaxed, safe, and at ease.



Is it safe?


Yes—completely.

Hypnosis is a natural state your mind goes into every day.
You remain aware and in control at all times.

Nothing can happen that goes against your will.



Will I lose control?


No.

You are always in control.
You can speak, move, or stop at any time.

Hypnotherapy works with you—not on you.



What if I can’t be hypnotised?


Everyone can enter this relaxed, focused state—
as long as you’re willing.

It’s a natural and easy process.



What if difficult memories come up?


If something comes up, we approach it gently.

You’re not reliving it—you’re simply observing it from a safe distance.

And you’re always in control of what you share.



When will I notice changes?


People experience change in different ways:

  • Gradually – small changes building over time
